Why did you choose to work for Multiplex?
I was attracted to Multiplex because of the size and type of projects that they undertake. I like the fact that they operate from various locations and as a long term prospect this creates opportunities for me to continue career progression within the company in different countries experiencing different working cultures.
What is your current role?
I have been part of the London Development Project team from the start and am now closing off some packages whilst working on Multiplex Head office’s relocation – I’ve also recently joined the bidding team and am assisting with a number of new project bids.
Describe the support network that you had access to on the Programme?
I had a great mentor; it was fantastic to have someone in the company to talk to that wasn’t your line manager. It meant you could talk more candidly about work/life balance, any difficulties I was having as well as broadening your network and understanding across the business.
What’s been your proudest achievement at Multiplex so far?
I am proud that I started on the project as a graduate and have been able to grow into the commercial lead on the project part of the way through, with it completing on time and on budget. My career growth has development and I am really excited for my future prospects with the company.
What do you think of the Multiplex Graduate Programme?
I really enjoyed the Graduate Programme; it exposed me to different aspects of the construction process whilst allowing me to focus on the commercial discipline. I also greatly valued the opportunity to connect with the other graduates and felt that it provided another layer of support from people who were going through the same experiences and process as me.
